Memory System

How students should memorise the Hadith passages

Do this

  • Memorise the number, key Arabic phrase and English meaning.
  • Group passages by theme rather than memorising randomly.
  • For each Hadith, learn one belief point and one action point.
  • Practise writing a short teaching paragraph and a short application paragraph.
  • Use exact Cambridge passage wording when answering exam questions.

Avoid this

  • Do not invent long stories around the Hadith.
  • Do not quote uncertain wording as if it is exact.
  • Do not write only a translation with no explanation.
  • Do not ignore Arabic recognition.
  • Do not confuse individual conduct with community life when classifying themes.
